Basic accordian album...

Basic Accordion Album Instructions
The final product will have 8 pages(incl covers) and will measure 6"x6" without covers and 6.5"x6.5" with covers
Take a Sheet of 12" x 12" cardstock or patterned paper and fold it in half. Make sure the edges and corners meet to keep your folds as precise as possible.
Open the sheet up
Fold the left outer edge in to the centre fold and then fold the right outer edge in to the centre fold
Open the sheet out again
Fold the sheet in half again, this time from bottom to top. You will now have the main part of the book which will have 4 segments.
Trim at least an inch an inch off the top of each of the four top segments. You can be as creative as you want. Decorate the front of the four segments as you wish - use quotes, co-ordinating patterned paper and embellishments (not too lumpy bumpy). run some double sided tape (down boCut 4 tags to slip into each of the four segments. They should be no bigger than 5½" x 2½" in size. Decorate your tags with photos, quotes or journalling.
When you have finished decorating the front panels and tags. Fold down the top panels and run some double sides tape down the two sides keeping as close to the edge as possible. Use the most narrow tape you have - trim it if you have to.
Thread some ribbon or fibres through each of the four tags. Fold your accordion a little then slip your tags into their pockets.
Now pop it on your bookshelf or mantle for display. If you are going to present it as a gift you can tie a piece of ribbon around it.
